Introducing performing arts into your camp program? Or, simply looking for a way to increase campers’ confidence and spice up your campfire skits a little?!

Improvisation can add many benefits to a summer camp, so having a strong collection of games and technique lessons can greatly improve the variety in your programming! You could research these for yourself, but with the mountains of resources available, we aim to offer you valuable insight and experience which will help you reduce this time consuming research, eliminate common mistakes and provide an activity that has a working balance of safety, fun and learning.

What you could do:

  • Hire someone to create an improvisation activity from scratch. This would take approximately 30hrs+ of work at roughly $10 per hour, and there is much information to sort through in order to create an extensive age-appropriate program. You will need to:
    • Research many improv resources: online, in books, publications, videos, improvisation shows.
    • Create your own lesson plans.
    • Trial and error the many games and activities available in order to decide which are the best source of fun and learning.
