Wood Between The Worlds
Wood Between the Worlds is a strategic run-around game, where the campers work individually to complete stages of the game, and yet teamwork is ultimately imperative to their final success.
“The White Witch has cast a spell over all of the Wood, making it permanently winter, but never Christmas. There is hope, though, now that the children have come. They must help the kind-hearted lion to defeat the witch and break her spell. But how does one fight a creature of pure emotionless evil?....With everything that she lacks. Campers will need to find and collect compassion, bravery, nobility, and fortitude in the form of tokens, and find a way to bring Santa Claus back to the Wood. Many characters will be met along the way – the kind-hearted lion, the Witch, wolves, polar bears and beavers….and be careful to avoid going to jail!”
The Wood Between the Worlds is a unique program, incorporating some of the most successful elements of all-camp programs – run-around, strategy, very strong characters, fun, fear, excitement and teamwork. This is a great energetic program for any age of camper, and post-program you can have some great discussions about the effectiveness of working both in teams and alone to achieve your goal.
Statistics:
The Wood Between the Worlds was a very popular game at Camp Augusta in 2008, being something completely different from most station/run-around games. Wood Between the Worlds has a magical element that spoke to the younger campers especially, and the game was most popular with girls aged between 8-12. Overall however, 84% of campers loved playing the game (boys and girls equally) and we received a lot of positive feedback on its originality. (CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR STATISTICS)
